Had a wonderful dinner here on a Saturday night. Of course got the tasting menu--started with the sea urchin which tasted interesting but I was not a fan of the texture of the egg jjim. Next we had the Bluefin tuna which was absolutely incredible, such a delicious dish especially with the gat kimchi. We also tried the mussel guksu. The blowfish was good, not out of this world but we really just wanted to try blowfish to try it. The squash however, was one of THE best dishes we had--I was skeptical when ordering but it was such a pleasant surprise. Cod and oxtail were both yummy as well but the chimichurri was probably the best part of both dishes. Of course, we had to add on the fried chicken which was very good but not sure if it was worth $28. Service was attentive and kind, the interest had a 'NY ikea vibe' (not a bad thing), just like modern and very simple. Overall a really just cool experience and menu but definitely pricey.

Super sleek unassuming restaurant behind a wooden door. I've been in this area so many times and never noticed this spot. I was very earlier for my dinner with friend so I grabbed a seat at the bar. The bartender was very nice and friendly and offered me the menu with her recommendations which I liked. I decided to do one of the mock tail called the Rose Fresher and boy it didn't disappoint. So much so that I ordered it twice. So you order everything at once and it all comes out timed for an experience. We ordered sea urchin, blue fin tuna, mussel, sweet shrimp, pork belly and oxtail sooyuk. Everything was delicious! absolutely loved the shrimp and pork belly! Our waitress was so attentive to our needs. Definitely an experience and all around great restaurant.

I came here for a friend's birthday on a Tuesday night. They were accommodating as I had to change the reservation time last minute. I want to say their menu changes seasonally. Their menu is pre-fixed with 4 courses; there are 3 options in the last 3 courses. You can also add fried chicken as an add-on but it's not really needed as the courses are pretty filling. The server was nice but I wouldn't say she was knowledgeable. My friend inquired about Figlia which had clover (?) and told my friend you can barely taste it but my friend said the clover taste was pretty strong. Since I'm pregnant and can't eat raw fish, the server offered salmon roe (which is also raw) as the uni alternative. I just opt to have the salmon roe on the side which my friends ate on my behalf. The restaurant did note they can't accommodate seafood, vegan, vegetarian, mushroom and soy/gluten-free allergies/diets. Overall, the food was good. I really liked the cod; it had a Thai curry taste. The runner up was the mussel guksu. It's a cooked cold noodle dish with mussel. I think it has a sesame taste. I would come back whenever they switch the menu to try different things.

Came here to celebrate my boyfriends birthday, and everything was pretty good! We paid for most of the upgrades since there's a prefixe menu with some selections being additional costs. Staff was kind and someone came over to explain every dish. The starter was a very smol portion of steamed egg with micro greens, seaweed crunchies, and some uni. This was delicious and umami, and the tiny uni piece was fresh. We both opted for the tuna appetizer with a tuna enveloping a salad . This was probably my favorite dish as the ingredients were super fresh and the tomatoes omg were soo sweet. The tuna was also very melty! Yum! The banchan consisted of pickled cucumbers and banana peppers. Nothing out of the ordinary. The entrees were probably the most average experience of the meal. I opted for the pork belly and my boyfriend got the cod dish. The cod dish was in a curry and tasted pretty standard, but good nonetheless! I got the pork belly, and the meat was pretty tough to chew. We both thoroughly enjoyed the seaweed infused rice, though. Total came out to be around $230 with tip and tax for two people. Would definitely come back again!

July 8th, 2024 - HOW DID YALL MAKE A VEGETABLE (Squash) TASTE SO GOOD!! That was honestly like a dessert. 5/5 definitely worth visiting. All the dishes were quite tasty. I didn't like the deep fried chicken as much. But honestly I don't like that much of anywhere. It was still very well cooked, soft and juicy. You'd think cause it was double fried that it would be dry. But it wasn't. Maybe I was too full to eat the chicken as it was thick cuts of meat. But honestly overall everything was great and the service was excellent! Loved the ambiance and space. It was about $170usd per person. Worth it!

Worthy of all the praise and recognition! Tax & service inclusive prix-fixe four course tasting menu. Came with a party of 3 to celebrate my dad's belated birthday & we basically ordered everything on the menu including the cannot miss add-ons! My favorites of the night included-- *Beef Tartare *Octopus *Squash *Korean Pear Salad The restaurant isnt the biggest, but cozy and intimate with wooden furnishings. Servers were incredibly fun & knowledgeable explaining each of our dishes--even gave us a free drink on the house because they mistakenly made it twice. Highly recommend checking out for a special occasion!

Delicious food, reasonably priced/value for money, and fun experience. The only downside is they are pretty strict on the dining limit as far as I can tell (no issue with that), and they sort of rush you as a result. Came here with two of my friends on a Wednesday afternoon, as one of them was able to snag a prime dinner slot. Arrived a couple of minutes early, and had to wait to be seated as the previous table was finishing up (we were seated about ~5 minutes late?). For drinks, we got one of the Hana makgeolli which was honestly a lot more sour than I'm used to (and I've had a good amount of craft makgeollis). It was fine but honestly next time I think I'll stick to wine. Food-wise, its a 4 course pre-fixe dining menu, where you get to choose one of three options from three sections (the first starter is the same for everyone). Some of the options have supplements, and there's also an option to add on fried chicken too. We opted to try every single dish and share + add the fried chicken. Overall, every dish was pretty solid! Standouts include: - Sea urchin: just so creamy and umami. Good news is you don't get an option, you have to order this! - Squash: They deep fry the squash and the sauce they douse it in is simply divine - Octopus: very tender and a fun sauce as well! - Short Rib: delicious and filling, worth the supplement! - Fried chicken: not the ~best~ fried chicken ever, but very solid and super fun to have as an add-on. Left the dinner feeling happily full. Now, the only downside is that you do feel the fact that they are rushing you-- at times they cleared plates before we were all done, but then didn't bring out the next dish until much later (and didn't clear the remaining plates). So that's one thing I'd suggest they improve on.
